One of the three baby suites and yes........... babies do paint!!!
|
One of the three baby suites features a huge picture window measuring 7 ft by 10 ft allowing in lots of natural light which makes the room very bright and cheery! The latest addition to the nursery complex is the very light and airy conservatory overlooking "the field". All baby suites are luxuriously carpeted over approx. 70 per cent of the floor area. The remaining 30 per cent of the floor area is covered in a heavy duty vinyl, so that any spillages can be cleaned up easily and effectively. Baby suites have an area set aside for bottle preparation.
A further room is used for nappy changing facilities. ( Four bottoms at a time if necessary!!! )
Staffing ratios for this room are one nursery nurse to every three babies (and at least one assistant)

As you can see from the photograph above, our toddlers are kept fairly busy either making mobiles or collages, painting or drawing. Of course this room is kept very free of obstructions for children who are just getting to grips with those newly found feet! Again this room is luxuriously carpeted over 50 per cent of its area. The latest attraction in this room seems to be the Mini hall of mirrors .

The children are getting to be very productive now. This is a giant of a room measuring approx. 57 ft by 17 ft and is usually screened off into four separate areas. Again, 50 per cent of the room is luxuriously carpeted with the remainder being covered in vinyl. The room has a TV and video (not just for cartoons) and we have a large selection of all the latest children's films. The room also has a fish tank and the children seem to be as enthralled with this as they are with the television. You can see that the children are now beginning to learn letters, numbers and colours in line with Ofsted requirements.
Staffing ratios for this room are one nursery nurse for every four children.

This is an upstairs room and again is carpeted over 75 per cent of its area. As you can see from the photograph, the windows are actually set at floor level. We would point out of course that there are bars fitted in front of each of the four large windows.
The room has TV, video, computers and stereo etc. as well as a computer Jukebox
