Thank you for taking the time to find out more about our nursery
As a family we took over the nursery in 2006 and since then have reached and maintained an "Outstanding" status with Ofsted. Prior to 2006 we had both spent many years working within the childcare sector managing, developing and training staff teams. Since then we have crossed the boundaries of nursery practitioners to being parents and we recognise, first hand, the important role nursery plays not only in each child’s life but also in partnership with families.
As a family we have high expectations of those that look after our bundle of joy, Wilf. Being parents has informed our practice just as much as the years of experience gained working in childcare settings. We are childcare professionals, passionate about what we do but above all we are parents with high expectations. He’s our most precious possession and we want those looking after him to value him as we do.
We want Wilf to feel good about himself, be confident and be ready for his next adventure... school. We want those looking after him to form relationships that are built on trust and mutual respect, in an environment that is safe and familiar but also provides opportunities for learning, problem solving and healthy risk-taking. That is what we aim to achieve, as a parents and practitioners.
We hope this website tells you more about what’s important to us and what we have to offer. It's full of text, photos and anecdotes from children, parents and staff.
We hope it is useful but if you want to find out more feel free to pick up the phone or, even better, pop in and have a look around.
Nicola and Tony (and Wilf too)
