We were very excited to receive 10 living eggs which we had to keep safe and warm in a special incubator. After a few days the eggs began to crack and we were lucky enough to have 4 little chicks hatch out. We looked after them for 2 weeks, feeding them, cleaning the incubator, giving them cuddles and watching them grow. We drew pictures of them and learnt all about the life cycle. When they were too big for the incubator the farmer came to collect them to take them back to the farm. We also went to visit Rachel’s grown up chickens which she keeps in a coop in her garden.
